- Cristiano Ronaldo left a 20,000 Euro tip at a Greek hotel
- The Portugal forward just signed a €100-M deal with Juventus FC after leaving Real Madrid
- Cristiano was reportedly very impressed with the staff’s service and hospitality
Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly left the Greek hotel staff with a 20,000 Euro (roughly P1.25-M) tip; making him one of the most generous celebrity tippers ever.
Cristiano and his family and friends were staying at the Costa Navarino resort’s luxurious Royal Methoni villa in Peloponnese, Greece after his Portugal team bowed out of the World Cup.
The 34-year-old forward had a special request from the staff to keep the paparazzi away as much as possible while they were enjoying the brief stay.
The football superstar even shared photos of their vacation on his Instagram account.
Apparently, Cristiano was very impressed with the staff’s hospitality and left them an eye-popping tip to be shared among the employees.
“The 10 employees, who had been tasked with providing services to Ronaldo’s family and to keep them away from the paparazzi, each received €2,000,” a report from Greek online sports magazine Sportime.gr said.
For 10 employees receiving €2,000 each would mean Cristiano left a whooping €20,000.
But the amount is actually just a tiny fraction of his recently-signed contract with Italian club Juventus. The move from Real Madrid made the football star €100-M richer with an estimated annual salary pegged at €30-M.
The hotel, which also catered to A-list celebrities like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in the past, thanked Cristiano in an Instagram post.
“It was an honour and a great experience for our team to look after Cristiano Ronaldo and his family,” it wrote.
