Aicelle Santos shared that she has been on leave from Miss Saigon productions due to tendonitis.
On Instagram, the Broadway singer revealed that it has been a week since she’s taking a time off to recover. She wrote, “Mood for the week that was… I’ve been off from Miss Saigon for a week now to recover from bad knees (tendonitis).”
According to WebMD, “tendonitis” is an inflammation or irritation of a tendon; a thick cord that attaches bone to muscle. It is often caused by by repetitive, minor impact on the affected area, or from a sudden more serious injury. It may sometimes take weeks to months to recover, depending on the severity of your injury.
Despite the injury, Aicelle added that she remains positive and hopes for the best. She wrote, “Praying to be back soon, better and stronger! For now, I will remain patient and positive! I receive Your healing Jesus. Sending everyone positivity and love.”
The former Kapuso star was chosen to play the role of Gigi Van Tranh in Miss Saigon’s UK Tour Production just last March. The coveted role was also played by other famous Filipinas such as by Rachelle Ann Go in 2014 and Isay Alvarez in 1989.
