Traffic congestion is a big problem for everyone within a city. Cities like New York, London, and Paris have all had to deal with thousands of cars running through their streets each day. But traffic congestion is not an excuse to throw the car in reverse and get off whatever road you are in.
Case on point, the Ohio Department wants to give drivers a helpful tip.
Don’t do that.
Definitely don’t continue driving backward through multiple intersections to get to a parking lot.
A video shared by Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) shows an SUV going backwards on US Route 33. The white vehicle navigates at least two traffic lights before reversing into a parking lot and finally stopping. The incident took place at 6.45 am on Tuesday morning. The video has been viewed over 200,000 times on Facebook.
“Pro tip, if your vehicle isn’t running properly, pull safely to the side of the road and call for assistance. Thankfully, no one was injured in this incident,” the department said.
Authorities speculate the vehicle may have had transmission problems.
