- Reina Jean Prescillas said she only noticed the difference when she got home, informed the concerned bank immediately
Netizens are curious to see the misprinted P100 bills that are going viral.
Reina Jean had just withdrawn money from an ATM in Quezon City on Tuesday and was surprised and a bit shocked to see two P100 bills with a interesting photo of former President Manuel Roxas.
She posted on her Facebook photos of the misprinted P100 bills that showed the former President with what looks like a “cleft lip” or “bingot.” She wrote, “Yung nag-withdraw ako tapos BINGOT ung 100 pesos ko. Hindi naman bingot si Manuel Roxas.” [I withdrew money and noticed that my P100 peso bills have cleft lip. Manuel Roxas has no cleft lip.]
Prescillas shared with GMA that she didn’t notice the difference until she reached home. She also said she had informed the concerned bank.
Last year, photos of several P100 bills also went viral after it appeared “faceless” and had some missing letters from the phrases: (REPUBLIKA) NG PILIPINAS and SANDA(ANG PISO). The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) admitted to the mistake and blamed it on “printing error.”
