‘Lumen’s Twins’ Charlotte and Charice Hermoso have admitted having lower self-esteem while away from showbiz.
In an article written by of GMA News, it was disclosed that going back to the industry was never easy for her.
“Napunta po kami sa point na parang bumaba ang self-esteem namin. Ako, inisip ko na baka mas okey na lang na mag-aral ako,” Charlotte said.
[We reached the point where our self-esteem dropped. I, personally, thought that perhaps it would be better if I’ll just focus on my studies.]
“Tapos si Charice, nag-take siya ng risk, nag-modeling siya kahit na freelance lang. Talagang siya (nagpursige). So naisip ko, bakit niya pinu-pursue? No’ng nag-try ako, doon ko po na-realize na baka ‘yung puso talaga namin nasa ganitong industry,” she added.
[Charice took the risk, she started in freelance modeling. She continued chasing her dreams. So I thought, why did she continue pursuing it? When I tried again, that’s when I realized that, maybe, our hearts really belong in this industry.]
The Hermoso sisters are set to make a television comeback soon. They will be part of the upcoming Kapuso series Inday Will Always Love You.
From 1997 to 2015, people have witnessed Surf’s “Lumen—Wais na Misis” series of advertisements. The series of ads was starred by actress January Isaac, who played the role of Lumen.
January was later on joined by Charlotte and Charice, who portrayed the role of her twin daughters.
At present, the two are already young ladies.
In an earlier interview, Charice shared she dreams to be an actress again while Charlotte aims to become a broadcast journalist.
