A Filipina student proved that she has what it takes to bring home “Pinoy Pride” as she graduated in the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in the United States with flying colors.

21-year-old, Lara Andrea Montales finished her degree in Bachelor of Science in Economics Major in Finance and Business Analytics as summa cum laude. The Latin honor is given to a Wharton student with a grade point average (GPA) between 3.80 and 4.00.

Montales entered Wharton in 2014 and was a consistent Dean’s Lister with a cumulative GPA ranging between 3.81 to 3.89, as stated by The Filipino Times.

It may seem like no suprise since Montales has been a consistent achiever. She was a class valedictorian in elementary at Colegio San Agustin-Makati. She also graduated with high honors at the Philippine Science High School-Main.

Montales will be spending some time in the Philippines before going back to the US to start her job at a consulting firm, as stated by the Manila Bulletin.

Wharton School ranked No. 1 in Forbes’ 2017 Best Business Schools in the US. Among its notable graduates are U.S. President Donald Trump, billionaire and chairman emeritus of The Estée Lauder Companies Inc Leonard Alan Lauder, CEO of Pfizer Inc Edmund T. Pratt Jr. and many others.
