The Philippine Coast Guard is searching for 17 crew of a landing craft that went adrift south of Manila, one of three weekend accidents at sea, its spokesman said on Monday.
“Seventeen crew are missing and we are still looking for them,” said Captain Armand Balilo.
Capt. Balilo said that the craft lost power near Fortune Island which is a tourist spot in the Batangas province.
Meanwhile, the authorities on Sunday rescued all 14 boat passengers, in Palawan and 19 people from a boat in Camarines Norte, after both crafts capsized due to strong waves, the coast guard said.
