An AUV crashed into a restaurant in a mall in Alabang on Sunday night; causing nine people to be injured.

Among the injured was a nine-month-old baby who had bruises and abrasions.

The driver reportedly stepped on the gas pedal by mistake instead of the brake that led to the vehicle crashing into the restaurant in Festival Mall.

Jobert Ortiz dela Victoria, a “YouScooper,” was at the restaurant dining when the accident happened around 8:35 p.m.. He was able to take a photo as the police investigated the incident.

According to Dela Victoria, he and other diners initial thought it was a car bomb so they rushed to leave.

The injured were brought to the hospital and are now in good condition.

According to GMA News, Police Chief Inspector Roland Estupin of Muntinlupa City Police said the driver and the victims were able to agree on a temporary settlement.
