Three men suspected of being involved in illegal drugs and gun-for-hire activities were killed in a shootout with cops in Parang town in Maguindanao on Monday, April 16.
The slain suspects were identified as Abib Sarotsong, Acero Kibab and Todto Pangalian. They were killed during a shootout with police who were conducting operation against wanted criminals in Brgy. Gumagadong Calawag.
Parang town chief of police Supt. Ibrahim Jambiran said his men flagged down the suspects aboard a motorcycle at a checkpoint around 11 am.
But the suspects resisted arrest and opened fire at the officers; prompting the policemen to shoot back. All three were killed in the exchange of fire.
Recovered from the three suspects were two .45 caliber handguns and ammunition.
Further police investigation revealed Sarotsong, Kibaba and Pangalian were hired killers involved in illegal drugs, murder and frustrated murder.
