It seems that Italy is this year’s favorite wedding destination of our celebrities.

After Isabelle Daza and Adrien Semblat, and Cristalle Belo Henares and Justin Pitt, the latest celebrity to tie the knot in the country that is considered as one of the most romantic places in the world is Francine Prieto and her American molecular biologist fiance, Frank Shotkoski.

According to an article written by FM Ganal of Philippine Entertainment Portal, the couple had a simple wedding ceremony  villa-style, at boutique hotel Casa Mariantonia in Capri, Italy on Thursday, September 22 (Manila time).

On her Instagram account, the actress shared a photo of herself and Frank sharing a sweet kiss, which she captioned: “I have found the one whom my soul loves  Song of Solomon 3:4”

Prior to the wedding, they held a prenuptial dinner party in Hotel Caesar Augustus and it was attended by their respective families and close friends

The pair was introduced by a common friend in December 2014 and got engaged on October 5, 2015.

Francine said in a previous interview with ABS-CBN News that Frank was supposed to propose on her birthday, which was on September 17 but she attended a Bible study at that time. She said that Frank waited for a few more weeks because they don’t always get a chance to be alone.

When she was asked what made her decide to settle down, she answered: “I guess when you meet the right person, at ‘yung lahat ng values na gusto mo nasa kanya at kung paano ang treatment niya sa ‘yo (and if he has all the values that you’re looking for and how he treats you). And most importantly, kung paano niya i-embrace lahat ng tao at ginagawa mo (and how he embraces the people and everything you do), at todo suporta sa ‘yo (and he always supports you) through thick or thin.”
