Goodwill ambassadress Deniece Cornejo shared on Instagram that she and former president Fidel V. Ramos had exchanged thoughts during the International Day of Peace.
In an article written by FM Ganal of PEP, it was disclosed that Cornejo had the chance to talk during the international celebration, where Cornejo was one of the country’s representatives.
“Exchanging of thoughts with the 12th president of the philippines. Fidel V. Ramos during the celebration of International Peace day. #UNambassador #spmuda #UN-DESA #youth #peace @travelingambassadress Ramos has received numerous awards, and is the only Filipino to have received an honorary British order, having been made a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of St Michael and St George by Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom in 1995,” Cornejo captioned the photo which she shared on Instagram.
While Cornejo did not disclose what she and Ramos talked about, she mentioned that she has a “good relationship with the committee of Peace Day based in New York.”
In 2014, Cornejo, a model, made headlines after she was allegedly involved in the serious illegal detention of actor-TV host Vhong Navarro.
Her rape complaints against the actor were also junked by the court and she was detained for four months until she posted bail in September 2014.
Last month, on the other hand, a new chapter in her life unfurled. The young model was appointed as the ambassadress of goodwill of Chivalric Order of the Royal House of Baloi, a United Nations-affiliated organization based in Mindanao.
Cornejo said she is really happy with the blessings that she has been receiving right now.
“I’m overwhelmed with the amount of blessings and support from people I meet. I also shared and discussed how beautiful our nature, culture, and people,” she stated.
