- Alden Richards confirmed that he has been receiving death threats
- He revealed he sought the help of NBI over the matter
- “Since the beginning, before the latest issue, I have had issues of life-threatening situations.” – Alden Richards
MANILA, Philippines – Alden Richards reacted over the post of his father, Richard Faulkerson Sr., over the alleged death threats that they’ve been receiving.
Alden’s father wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday, September 25: “Bash niyo na ako kakayanin ko pa po yan…wag lang threat sa buhay namin…nbi na po ang bahala diyan.”
[Just keep on bashing me, I can handle that but not the death threats. The NBI will take care of that.]
The “Eat Bulaga” host did not deny his father’s post and admitted that since before his father’s revelation, he has been receiving death threats already and he confirmed that he sought the help of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) over the matter.
GMA News Online quoted him as saying: “Since the beginning, before the latest issue, I have had issues of life-threatening situations. I asked the help of GMA Artist Center and NBI to do something about it. We have been taking action with regards to that .”
Although he believes that there’s a probability that those who are threatening him won’t really do it, he is still taking extra caution.
He added that it’s easy to threaten someone and there are lots of people like that, especially on social media.
“Sa tingin ko, ‘yung mga nagte-threat are just people na wala lang magawa,” he said.
[I think that those people who are making threats don’t have anything else to do.]
Instead of worrying about the death threats he’s receiving, Alden is focusing his attention on his upcoming project with his onscreen partner, Maine Mendoza.
Aside from that, he will be releasing his third album under GMA Records on October 10.
