Kapuso actress Maine Mendoza went emotional while watching Coldplay perform live on stage at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California.

In an article written by Aedrienne Acar of GMA News Online, it was disclosed that a video of the Kalyeserye star while crying gained a lot of attention after it was posted on Instagram by well-known hairstylist Celeste Tuviera.

“When you’re right at the very moment when you know that a dream has become reality. This is precious @mainedcm,” wrote Tuviera on the caption of the video she uploaded.

On Twitter, Mendoza even posted an all caps tweet saying: “I AM THE HAPPIEST GIRL ON THE PLANET RIGHT NOW. YOU ARE AMAZING IN SO MANY WAYS @COLDPLAY. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.”

As of posting, the video of Mendoza already has 52, 000 views and 10, 000 favorites.

Coldplay

Coldplay is a band which was formed in 1996 by lead vocalist and pianist Chris Martin and lead guitarist Jonny Buckland at University College London.

According to Wikipedia, under the band name “Pectoralz”, Guy Berryman joined the group as a bassist and they changed their name to “Starfish”. Later on, Will Champion joined as a drummer and backing vocalist, completing the performing line-up. Creative Director Phil Harvey is often referred to as the official fifth member by the band.

In 1998, the band renamed themselves “Coldplay”.

In 2000, it achieved worldwide fame with the release of the single “Yellow”.

The band has won 62 awards from 209 nominations throughout their career, including nine Brit Awards, five MTV Video Music Awards and seven Grammy Awards. Coldplay have sold more than 80 million records worldwide, making them one of the world’s best-selling music artists.

In December 2009, many Rolling Stone readers voted for the group, making it the fourth-best artist of the 2000s.
