The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) has launched a new hotline number to receive complaints from passengers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport terminals in a bid to deliver better services to the public.

Launched on August 1, the new airport hotline is designed to address complaints ranging from rude airport personnel to overcharging taxi drivers, as per an InterAksyon story.

MIAA Media Affairs Office-in-Charge Feliciana Santos said the hotline number 877-1111 is being manned by MIAA Customer Relations Center located at the NAIA Terminal 1. She said the number is not to be confused with MIAA trunkline number 877-1109, which can be contacted for concerns involving various offices within MIAA. The trunkline is being manned by 14 operators at the MIAA’s Electronics and Communications Division.

MIAA general manager Ed Monreal said NAIA personnel will immediately respond to any concern of airline passengers if they call the new hotline while they are inside the airport terminal.

“Let’s say they have complaints about vehicle drivers. They can call, identify where they are and someone will come to respond,” he said.

Signages have been displayed in different locations in the premier airport terminals to inform passengers of the new hotline. So far, the hotline has received a few calls, most of which were dropped, according to Media Affairs OIC Santos.

“Text NAIA,” the SMS-based assistance service of MIAA with mobile phone number 0917 839 6242, can be used by passengers to text their complaints.
