MANILA, Philippines – Mahindra Enforcers playing coach Manny Pacquiao will be playing in PBA All-Star Weekend.

He will be representing his team in the Blitz Game on Friday, August 5, for the Stalwarts squad.

According to an article published by GMA News Online, the boxing icon will replace his teammate LA Revilla, who broke his nose during practice recently, in the lineup.

He will play alongside up-and-coming young stars Chris Banchero, David Semerad, and Raymond Almazan, D-League players Mike Tolomia, Raphael Banal, Russel Escoto, and Carl Bryan Cruz, and PBA legends Alvin Patrimonio, Ronnie Magsanoc, Nic Belasco, and Topex Robinson.

Pacquiao made his PBA comeback on Wednesday, August 3 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum after he was reactivated by Mahindra Enforcers just in time for the team’s game against Alaska Aces.

According to an article published by Spin.ph Pacquiao disclosed in an interview on Tuesday, August 2, that it was the management who asked him and he did not volunteer to play for the team.

He agreed to the management’s request on the condition that his addition won’t mess up the team’s chemistry.

“Masaya na ako na natutuwa ang team pag kasama nila ako, ganun rin ako pag kasama sila,” he added.

[I’m happy already that the team feels happy when I’m with them, and I feel the same way too when they’re with me.]

According to an article published by Rappler, Pacquiao clocked three minutes of playing time during the game.

Mahindra Enforcers managed to make a comeback from 16 points lead by Alaska Aces. The game ended with a score of 101-95.
