MANILA, Philippines – A  series of photographs have been circulating on social media that showed convicted drug lord Herbert Colangco celebrating his birthday inside the New Bilibid Prison with local government officials, high-ranking cops, and even a few good-looking women who are said to be hired guest relation officers or GROs.

It was not immediately known who posted the original photos but it have been widely shared on Facebook pages recently, including one that bore the name of Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa.

According to GMA News, the celebration took place inside Bilibid back in 2013

Among the visitors seen in Colangco’s birthday is murder convict Chief Inspector Clarence Dongail. There were also a number of Chinese drug lords in attendance as well as local officials from the Muntinlupa City Hall and a congressman from Surigao Del Sur.

Some young women were also seen around, presumably hired as usherettes and to entertain the visitors.

Other well-wishers reportedly include Senior Supt. Remus Medina and Supt. Richard Gumboc, as well as NBP chaplain Msgr. Roberto Olaguer and Fr. Danilo Lukyaw.

Olaguer explained in an interview that it was the first time he met Colangco and he was only requested to celebrate the mass.

However, Dela Rosa said all the people in the pictures have now become a ‘person of interest’ for their link to the notorious former Ozamis Robbery Gang leader.

GMA News revealed the congressman in the photo as Surigao del Sur Rep. Philip Pichay, while the Muntinlupa City Hall officials are the chiefs of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office, Public Order and Safety Office, and the traffic bureau.
