MANILA, Philippines – Anne Cutis is happy and touched that ‘Mr. Pure Energy’ Gary Valenciano has invited her to be a part of his new album.
Gary V’s new album is inspired by his works with UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund) as its national ambassador.
The “It’s Showtime” host, who is one of UNICEF’s celebrity ambassadors, described it as a great opportunity.
ABS-CBN News quoted the 31-year-old actress as saying during the Cebu Pacific-UNICEF “Change for Good” press conference on Thursday, June 16 at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Ortiga.: “Natuwa ako. (I’m happy). Na-touch ako (I was touched) because of course it’s such a great opportunity.
Number one, it’s something that will raise funds for UNICEF and pangalawa masaya kasi si kuya Gary ang nag-invite (Second, I’m happy because it’s Kuya Gary who invited me).”
Despite her busy schedule, Anne said she will never be too busy to help UNICEF.
She emphasized that it’s not just an advocacy for her; rather, it’s something that she does wholeheartedly.
“It’s something I’m very passionate about,” she said.
Anne continued that even if she wasn’t an actress, it would be something she’d be very active in.
“All the other things are just a cherry on the top you know. This is something that I’ll use as my situation to hopefully influence people so they can also make a change in children’s lives,” she added.
Last February, Anne launched her first children’s book, “Anita the Duckling Diva”, with UNICEF.
“I’m so happy. Every time I see my Instagram tags laging merong mga naka-tag ng bumibili ng [there are tags from those who bought] “Anita the Duckling Diva”. All funds go to UNICEF,” she said.
Anne disclosed during the book launch that she had always wanted to write a book and the opportunity came when UNICEF said they were releasing a new line of books and she asked if it’s okay for her to write one.
